Bowled Over!

On Sunday 3rd March 2019, The Guildford Spectrum was the venue for Ten Pin Bowling of the highest order! A group of twelve bowlers comprising of brothers, family members and friends played for the honour of becoming the Guildford Circle Champion!

It wasn't just adult bowlers that took part, there were junior bowlers too and the 'Hot Shot Kids' included: Rebecca Shaw, daughter of Chamberlain Sam Shaw, and brothers Theo and Alex Gill, grandsons of  Vice President Andy Fogell and Theresa. In a one game contest, Rebecca had the highest score with an eye watering 87 with Theo and Alex coming a close second with scores of 74 and 67 respectively. Theo and Alex were supported both during and after the game by their Godfather Demitri who had flown in from America to witness this prestigious event. A good attempt boys but you'll never bowl this maiden over!

The adult bowlers played over two games and in game one our Secretary Steve Rowden came out on top with a score of 134. Hurrah! However, Steve's success was short lived because in game two Andy Fogell adapted to the lane conditions and played like a seasoned pro. He produced a score of 138 thus taking the honours and proving that he isn't an 'Old Fogell' after all!

Other participants including: Dominique Daulton with Tina; Raj and Hannah Gill and Monica Rowden could only gaze in Awe at the two winners. One might say they were bowled over!
