On Monday 4th December no less than sixteen
teams gathered at St Ann's Church Hall, Banstead for the Annual
Provincial Darts Night organised by Kingston Circle. After an excellent start the
Guildford 'A' Team comprising of Steve Rowden, Peter Chalcraft and Sam Shaw, progressed to the final round. Sadly, our gallant brothers were soundly beaten by the Woking 'A'
Team namely Alan Blanchard, Sean Ryan and Thomas Pfann.
The Guildford B team fared even worse with Ian Rogers, Tony Clark and Kevin Deeming losing in the first round. In spite of fighting valiantly in the Plate competition, there was no redemption. The B Team's efforts were to no avail and they eventually lost in the semi-final to the overall winners, Wimbledon.
