Ladies, Sons & Daughters Night 2023

The annual Gala event of Ladies, Sons and Daughters Night was held at Clandon Regis Golf Club on 6 September. There were 74 in attendance and following a brief Circle meeting, everyone took their places in the dining area to enjoy a 3 course meal. The guests included: several visiting brothers and wives; visiting gentlemen and wives and, of course, an encouraging turnout of sons and daughters. The Clergy was represented by Fr Roy Waters a regular visitor to the Guildford Circle.

Later in the evening a raffle was held the proceeds of which will go to Cafod the President's Charity.

August 2023 Circle Meeting

The 765th meeting of the Guildford Catenians took place on Wednesday 3rd August at Clandon Regis Golf Club. In attendance were 33 brothers and 2 visiting gentlemen. 

Highlights of the meeting included: Bro. President presenting Bro. Rory Flynn with a miniature to commemorate his work as Circle Treasurer; Bro. Mervyn Burby reported that Guildford Circle had retained the Tri-Circle Golf Trophy with the shield for the Guildford Trophy being won by Bro. Jim O'Donnell; Continuing with the winning streak, Bro. John Mercer presented Bro. Jim with the Provincial Golf Trophy for the victory over Province 11; Bro. Cian Duggan related his faith experience to the brothers. 

Bro.Michael Shortland asked if Bro. Marketing Officer could ensure that the Circle website is updated and Bro. Antony Abraham said that he was happy to do this. The update is still in progress but the Blog section can be viewed on the website by clicking on 'Blog' in the menu bar where this posting along with other Blogs dating back as far as 2014 can be viewed.
